Tears of the Kingdom: How to Save Builds in TotK https://www.touchtapplay.com/tears-of-the-kingdom-how-to-save-builds-in-totk/ Fri, 09 Jun 2023 13:44:20 +0000 Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom takes building stuff to access certain areas, solve puzzles, go from one place to another, and such other things to a whole new level by giving a lot more flexibility that many games with a similar theme lack.

With the new Zonai tools, you can build ‘literally’ anything in the game based on your creativity. There are many moments in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom when we create fantastic functional structures, whether a vehicle, a flame-spewing makeshift robot, or anything else, and later, fail to recreate it.

This is where saving builds in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom comes into play. For players who don’t know, there is this handy ability in the game that players can use to save builds, but since it is well hidden in The Depths, some players fail to find it, while many are unaware of it.

Seeing that, we prepared this handy guide on how to save builds in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which talks about where you can get the ability to save builds and how to use it to save your creations in the game.

In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can save builds using the Autobuild rune ability that you can get from The Depths by interacting with the Steward Construct, whom you will find at a delipidated temple-like structure located at the following coordinates: -0781, -1886, -0523.

Once you have acquired Autobuild ability, you can simply create anything and later access it from the Autobuild history. It also allows you to mark your creations as favorites to access them quickly.

Usually, the game will introduce you to the Autobuild ability when you progress Robbie and Josha’s questline that starts with the Camera in the Works quest.

After completing it, keep interacting with them at Lookout’s Landing to get the A Mystery in the Depths quest, which takes you to the above-shared coordinates where you learn Autobuild.

Tears of the Kingdom: How to See Enemy’s Health in TotK https://www.touchtapplay.com/tears-of-the-kingdom-how-to-see-enemys-health-in-totk/ Fri, 09 Jun 2023 13:44:47 +0000 Breath of the Wild veterans may recall that equipping Link’s signature Champion’s Tunic would reveal the exact health numbers of enemies. This was useful for weapon testing and data collection, so you must be wondering if there is something like this in Tears of the Kingdom. Here is everything you need to know about how to see enemy’s health in Tears of the Kingdom.

Seeing exact enemy health in Tears of the Kingdom

In Tears of the Kingdom, enemies display a small red bar above their heads to show their approximate health. This can help you gauge whether to power through and finish off an enemy, or retreat if they are barely taking any damage.

Bosses are even more grandiose, as their massive health bars show up at the top of the screen, to really make you feel like you are taking on a legitimate threat. You cannot see the exact values, however.

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately it seems as though there is no way to see the exact numbers for enemy health anymore in Tears of the Kingdom.

Even if you brave the corrupted Hyrule Castle and delve into the deepest reaches to recover Link’s new and improved Champion’s Leathers, it has inexplicably lost the ability to reveal exact enemy health values.

We are not entirely sure what the reasoning was behind this change. Maybe it was an oversight? Probably not, but Nintendo must have had some sort of reason for removing this ability from the Champion’s Tunic.

The ability to see enemy health might return on a completely new piece of armor that may come with new DLC. Nintendo has not confirmed yet if Tears of the Kingdom will receive an expansion pass like Breath of the Wild did, but there is still hope yet.

Tears of the Kingdom: Can You Play TotK on Steam Deck? Answered https://www.touchtapplay.com/tears-of-the-kingdom-can-you-play-totk-on-steam-deck-answered/ Thu, 18 May 2023 10:54:57 +0000 A new The Legend of Zelda game always creates a lot of buzz, and that’s the case with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as well. The game expands on the lore of Hyrule and brings new skills for Link to master. Tears of the Kingdom brings so much content that it takes players more than 50 hours to just get through the main story and up to 200 hours to explore every single aspect of the game.

Even if you don’t own a Nintendo Switch, you might still be interested in taking a peek at what the gaming community is losing its wits about. Steam Deck owners might be particularly hopeful to try this game on their portable devices, but the question remains—can you play Tears of the Kingdom on Steam Deck? Let’s explore the answers together!

If you’re not new to the Zelda series and Nintendo games in general, you probably know that all Nintendo titles are exclusives. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was developed for Nintendo Switch only, and this game won’t be available on any other store or for any other console and gaming device in the foreseeable future. Therefore, unfortunately, you cannot play Tears of the Kingdom on Steam Deck via any official method.

While this may be a disappointment for many gamers who might want to try Tears of the Kingdom but are still not close to the decision to buy a Switch, we do see where Nintendo is coming from. Exclusivity is not only Nintendo’s trait—it is fairly common in the gaming industry at the moment.

However, not all is lost. There are ways to get The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on your Steam Deck—they’re just not legal. Thanks to several popular emulators, you can technically play various Nintendo games on other devices, but this would require you to dabble in pirated content, which is illegal, and we do not recommend it.

All in all, if you decide to get a Switch and fire up this Zelda game, come back to our dedicated Tears of the Kingdom section where you can find numerous useful guides to help you with your adventures in Hyrule.

While they have a wide range of attacks to kill you in a few hits, the worst part is that regular melee or ranged weapons don’t work on them, all thanks to the sturdy stone armor.

Defeating the Armored Bokoglins in Tears of the Kingdom is challenging if you don’t know what tools to use. So this handy guide can help you learn how exactly to defeat Armored Bokoblins in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Best Late Game Armor in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom https://www.touchtapplay.com/best-late-game-armor-in-zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom/ Wed, 28 Jun 2023 00:38:59 +0000 You probably amassed lots of different armor sets over the course of your adventures in the newly shaped lands of Hyrule. Since each armor set takes quite a bit of investment to upgrade, we found ourselves wondering which ones gave us the most bang for our buck. Here is the best late game armor set in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The best late game armor to use in Tears of the Kingdom

The best late game armor in the entirety of Tears of the Kingdom has to be the Wild set, returning from Breath of the Wild. You can find all three pieces of the set in the Depths.

Not only does the Wild set look pretty nice, but it also maxes out at a whopping 84 defense when all three pieces are fully upgraded to four stars. With that much defense, most attacks will only do a quarter’s heart worth of damage to you. On top of that, the Wild armor set bonus is Attack Up, which helps you beat up baddies quicker.

Screenshot by Touch Tap Play

Related | Tears of the Kingdom: How to Get the Land of the Sky Fish in TotK

The caveat to the Wild set is that you need lots of Dragon parts to fully upgrade each piece. In fact, you require lots of horn shards and spike shards from all three Dragons, which can be a little annoying to farm.

Of course, this is merely one option for duds. There are tons of armor options in Tears of the Kingdom, and they are pretty much all viable once you fully upgrade them. Some other sets that are great to use include:

  • Barbarian set (60 defense, Charge attack stamina cost reduced set bonus)
  • Awakening set (60 defense, Attack Up set bonus)
  • Fierce Diety set (60 defense, Charge attack stamina cost reduced set bonus)
  • Ancient Hero’s Aspect (84 defense, but you need to do the gargantuan task of completing all 152 Shrines in the game)

What are some of your favorite armor sets to use during the late game of Tears of the Kingdom? Let us know in the comments below! Also, be sure to check out our dedicated Tears of the Kingdom guide collection.

How to Tell if a Shrine Is Complete in Tears of the Kingdom https://www.touchtapplay.com/tears-of-the-kingdom-how-to-tell-if-a-shrine-is-complete-in-totk/ Fri, 09 Jun 2023 13:42:31 +0000 The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is huge – and we love it. I guess that’s what happens when developers have had six years to work on this game after the release of Breath of the Wild. It’s not a surprise that completing every single part of the game takes up to 200 hours.

Fans who keep coming back to the Zelda series of games already know that a big part of the exploration is finding and completing various shrines scattered across Hyrule. But since Tears of the Kingdom comes with 152 shrines, it can get super complicated keeping track of the completed ones. In this guide, you can learn how to tell if a Shrine is complete in Tears of the Kingdom, so you don’t have to worry about missing or replaying any of them.

Shrines in Tears of the Kingdom

The map in Tears of the Kingdom can get overwhelming, and you can get distracted just by the sheer size of it. And while the game’s non-linear open world offers a myriad of opportunities for free exploration, it can also be a source of anxiety—especially if you have the completionist approach to gaming, as we do.

Since completing Shrines increases Link’s health and stamina, it’s no wonder that you may want to focus on these locations and put them as your priority in every new region you get to. You discover several of these locations along the way, so it is good to know a little trick that helps you figure out whether you’ve already completed a particular Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom. As soon as you finish the Shrine’s puzzle and open the chest that contains some precious material or a piece of gear, a small chest icon shows up next to the Shrine’s location on the map.

This is particularly useful if you find a particular Shrine more challenging than you initially thought, so you have to leave it for later. Just open the map to see which ones are left unexplored and get to them later on, when you improve your skills.

We hope this information helps you complete all shrines in this new Zelda game more easily. If you find yourself in need of some more help, just come back to our dedicated Tears of the Kingdom section and consult one of our many useful guides.
