These are on the rarer side and only have the chance to be acquired through unlocking certain places. They take work to get but are often worth it because of the value of the items they produce. When it comes to dinosaurs, they can produce eggs which can be made into the special Dinosaur Mayonnaise. Dinosaurs themselves are not that hard to get, with it being more of a matter of luck than anything else. This is how to get a dinosaur in Stardew Valley.

Why Dinosaurs Exist In Stardew Valley

Now you’re probably thinking, how in the world does a dinosaur exist in Stardew Valley? Aren’t those supposed to be extinct? Well, here’s the thing, Stardew Valley’s lore has a lot of magic and fantasy elements despite being along the lines of a life simulator. Not to mention there are many deep caves in the land where the dinosaurs could have easily survived for a long time. In fact, that’s where you can find their eggs.

Where To Find Dinosaur Eggs In the Skull Cavern In Stardew Valley

After you trek through all floors of the Mines in the starting map, you can get the key to access the Skull Cavern, which is home to the Pepper Rex, the NPC dinosaur monster that sometimes drops eggs when killed. Pepper Rexes live on the Prehistoric Floors, which are floors randomly encountered that are infested by multiples of the named beast.

Since there’s a 10 percent drop rate, these might be your best bet for getting a Dinosaur egg. However, that only happens if you’re lucky enough to find a floor. The Skull Cavern has difficult enemies, so getting there can be difficult. There are a few safer ways to find one, but you’ll have a lower luck chance, so the option is yours.

Where To Dig Up Dinosaur Eggs In Stardew Valley

Dinosaur eggs can be found in treasure chests from fishing and the Artifact Spots in the quarry, those little patches that look like worms on the ground. When tested, digging in the Quarry was interestingly the method that worked. What you need to do is clear out all of the stones in the Quarry so that there’s plenty of room for Artifact Spots to spawn. They pop up the most in Winter, so get rid of the rocks a little bit before Fall ends. Wait and check back to see if any Artifact Spots spawn and hopefully one will have a Dinosaur Egg.

After you get the egg, put it into the incubator of a Big Coop to hatch. After it grows up it lays eggs which became valuable farm produce. You can also hatch the eggs if you want to breed more dinosaurs.

How to Have Children in Stardew Valley – Tips & Guide https://www.touchtapplay.com/how-to-have-children-in-stardew-valley-tips-guide/ Mon, 27 Nov 2023 04:14:19 +0000 This article will give you all the information you need on how to have children in Stardew Valley – keep on reading to find out everything!

Stardew Valley is all about building the perfect farm, but it’s also about making your ideal family life. At some point you’ll find a bachelor or bachelorette character that you like and when you marry them, you can start having kids together. For that to happen though, you need something.

Want To Know Pelican Town’s Spiciest Secrets? Read our article on all the Stardew Valley Secrets & Easter Eggs You Need to Know!

What You Need in Order to Begin Parenthood in Stardew Valley

Obviously, the first step to parenthood in the game is marriage. There’s no way to have kids as a single person. If you want to, you can go through the process of marriage and getting pregnant and then divorce your spouse for 50000 gold after they’re born. The children will live with you on the farm full-time, so you’ll basically be a single parent.

Whatever your end goals are, you have to go through the process of courting an eligible bachelor or bachelorette by giving them gifts. The first step is to offer them a bouquet that you can purchase at Pierre’s shop which will officially change their status with you to girlfriend or boyfriend. Do this when you have at least eight hearts with them.

How to Ask a Villager to Marry You in Stardew Valley

The second step is to propose to your partner when you reach ten hearts. For this, you need a Mermaids Pendant, which you can get from the man who appears on the beach on rainy days. This is the only way you can get a Mermaid’s Pendant. Also, you need to have upgraded your place at least once in order to be eligible for marriage. The bachelor pad that you start out with just doesn’t suit two people.

Renovating the Farmhouse in Stardew Valley

Once you get married and your spouse moves in with you, the next step is to get the house to its second upgrade, where living space for children will be added. When all the conditions are right, your partner will ask you if you want to have children, and if you agree, the baby will come two weeks later. Same-sex couples are not left out of the party here, they will have the same process, but the baby will come through adoption instead of conception.

Can You Have a Second Child in Stardew Valley?

If you want to have a second baby, make sure that you keep the crib that’s in the house because if you take it out at any point, you won’t be able to conceive kids’ period. The process is the same, keep your spouse happy, and the right furniture conditions; it’s just a matter of time. Once your first child is old enough to sleep in a regular bed, you’ll get the option of having baby number two because the next kid will of course use the crib.

How to Have Children in Stardew Valley Multiplayer

For people who want to have a child in the multiplayer mode, the requirements are the same as the story mode except that both players have to agree to have a child when asked. Once that goes through, a baby will come after two weeks just like if you were married to a villager.

To sum up, all you have to do for kids is have a honey bunny and the right space for them. You can raise a family today in Stardew Valley!

Stardew Valley Meadowlands Farm Preview https://www.touchtapplay.com/stardew-valley-meadowlands-farm-preview/ Tue, 19 Mar 2024 19:27:56 +0000 If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the Stardew Valley 1.6 release just like I have, then you’re in for a treat. In this article, I will show you a preview of the Meadowlands Farm so you know what to expect when you start a game on this layout.

The Meadowlands Farm is said to be the one that you choose if you plan on being a farmer. If you want to focus on animals instead of crops, this one will help you. There is a special kind of grass that grows on this farm set, which makes animals super happy – so feeding is going to be a whole lot easier.

Screenshot via Touch, Tap, Play

You Don’t Start With Any Crops

The number one thing that is worth noting is that you won’t start with the usual Parsnips. You will, instead, start with 15x Hay. That, along with the 2 baby chicks that you already have and the coop pre-built, should give you something to think about.

About the Meadowlands Farm in Stardew Valley 1.6

There is not a whole lot different on this farm, other than the Coop start – you still have SOME space to build around for crops if you want, but there is not as much space as in the default farm or the four corners farm. However, it’s perfectly good for a casual player who wants to try their hand at everything the game has to offer – and save some Gold by pre-owning a coop!

Screenshot via Touch, Tap, Play

As you can see, I’ve just started a new game on the new farm layout to check this, and it is indeed pretty fun. Just bear in mind that a few of the things are switched around – the bat cave/mushroom cave is now located on the South-Earth of the farm, and there are a couple of lakes towards the South-West. All in all, it’s a pretty fun layout and I certainly can’t wait to check it out!

Does Stardew Valley Support CrossPlay?

As of 2023, Stardew Valley does not support crossplay gaming, meaning you can not play with other people if they use a different platform. The only exception from the rules are PC and Mac players, they can join the same lobby and play the game together.

Can Stardew Valley Get Crossplay?

Predicting if Stardew Valley will support crossplay sometime in the future is pretty challenging. Even though discussions about Stardew Valley Crossplay regularly appear on Twitter and different gaming forums, this topic still gets too little attention. Therefore, it seems that crossplay is a feature that is unlikely ever to be introduced.

Interestingly, during one of the interviews, Eric Barone, the developer of Stardew Valley, announced that he wants to add crossplay and will look into it more closely. Still, there is no information and progress about this. That’s why we consider this feature won’t appear in Stardew Valley.

That’s it with the crossplay in Stardew Valley. Even though the game is available on multiple platforms, it doesn’t support crossplay. So, the only option to enjoy the game with your friends is to use the same platform or Windows/Mac, which supports crossplay features. And while you are here, make sure to check our guide on how to marry Penny in Stardew Valley.

  • Fixed several map tile issues and places where forage could spam out of bounds

Stardew Valey 1.6.2 Patch Notes: Bugs & Fixes

  • Void egg is now poisonous
  • Adjusted adventure guild open hours on map

Since it’s only been a few days and we’re already 2 patches in, in addition to the major one, Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone decided it would be a good idea to hype us even more, by teasing something coming in the Stardew Valley 1.6.3 patch. Who would have guessed?

Stardew Valley Patch 1.6.3 Teaser

So far we’ve only seen a tweet pointing us in the direction of Clint (first of all), but since it’s just a teaser, we can only assume more will follow.

Stay tuned for more Stardew Valley content, and let’s look forward to any future patches, because I am sure they will bring about a lot more great content – and hopefully some new sneaky quests involving the purple shorts!

Stardew Valley: Forester or Gatherer? Which Profession To Choose https://www.touchtapplay.com/stardew-valley-forester-or-gatherer-which-profession-to-choose/ https://www.touchtapplay.com/stardew-valley-forester-or-gatherer-which-profession-to-choose/#respond Tue, 28 Feb 2023 20:37:26 +0000 The choice between Forester or Gatherer in Stardew Valley is an endless debate that hardly has a definite answer. Why, you may ask? Because it’s totally irrelevant if you consider the fact that you can change your profession later in the game and the fact that you need both professions. Still, which profession to choose in Stardew Valley? Forester or the Gatherer?

Related | How To Make Hay In Stardew Valley

In this guide, we will talk about both Forester and Gatherer professions in Stardew Valley and, in the end, will share which profession we find better to choose in the early game.

Which Profession to Choose in Stardew Valley: Forester or Gatherer?

When you reach level 5 of your Foraging Skill in Stadew Valley, you can choose between the Forester or the Gatherer profession. The Forester profession allows you to obtain 25% more wood when chopping trees, stumps, and logs.

Related | Stardew Valley Best Crops Per Season – Guide

Meanwhile, the Gatherer profession increases your chances of obtaining a double harvest of foraged items. Later, when you reach Level 10, you can will get to choose a sub-profession or something like a specialization within the select profession.

If you had selected Forester, you could choose between the following:

  • Lumberjack: All trees have a chance to drop hardwood.
  • Tapper: Syrups worth 25% more.

On the other hand, if you selected Gatherer, you can choose between:

  • Botanist: Foraged items are always the highest quality.
  • Tracker: Location of forageable items revealed.

You need wood and hardwood for upgrades, but you can get them using normal means too. You don’t have to be an expert Lumberjack or Forester for it. On the flip side, choosing Gatherer gives you access to more resources which turns out to be even better when you select to be a Botanist.

Related | Top 5 Most Romantic Things to Do in Stardew Valley

Every item you forage is of the highest quality. Easy upgrades, crafting, and much more. So, the answer is to go for the Gatherer profession and then select Botanist.

That is it. That concludes our guide on which profession to choose in Stardew Valley? Forester or the Gatherer?

For more on Stardew Valley, check out our dedicated guides section. Thank you for reading!

Stardew Valley is available on Nintendo Switch, Android, PlayStation, macOS, Xbox, Linux, PS Vita, and PC platforms.

Does Sam Cheat on you in Stardew Valley? Answered https://www.touchtapplay.com/does-sam-cheat-on-you-in-stardew-valley-answered/ https://www.touchtapplay.com/does-sam-cheat-on-you-in-stardew-valley-answered/#respond Tue, 21 Mar 2023 21:15:12 +0000 Stardew Valley is a peaceful farming simulation game where players are free to grow crops, befriend the local villagers, explore the mines, and even search for love. Pelican Town has a variety of eligible bachelors and bachelorettes, each with their own distinct personalities.

Break-ups and divorce are options if you change your mind about a villager, but can they leave you on their own? Our guide will answer the question: Does Sam cheat on you in Stardew Valley?

Can Sam cheat on you in Stardew Valley?

In Stardew Valley, players can date certain villagers by talking to them often and giving them their favorite gifts. A villager’s friendship level increases whenever you do something that makes them happy, and you can see their current level in your main menu.

You can purchase a Bouquet from Pierre’s General Store and present it to any villager that has at least eight hearts with you to start dating them.

There is nothing stopping you from dating multiple villagers. The only time they find out is if you date all the bachelors or bachelorettes at once, at which point they stage an intervention with you. This causes the villagers to be angry with you for a week straight, and they will refuse any gifts you try to give them.

Related | Can you Play Cross-Platform in Stardew Valley? Explained

Now, this begs the question: Can the villagers do you dirty as well, like Sam? The answer is no—your significant other or spouse will never cheat on you, not even the carefree spirit that is Sam.

Your significant other will mention other love interests if they are unhappy with you, but they will never initiate a break-up, nor cheat on you. You can either try to make up with your partner, or just let them wallow in misery, if you are feeling especially heartless.

All of this only applies to the base Stardew Valley experience, and does not account for any potential mods that change how dating works. We are not aware of any mods that make the dating mechanics more in-depth, but we would not be surprised if there are existing mods like that.

We hope that answers your questions about Sam potentially cheating on you in Stardew Valley. If you have any other questions about Stardew Valley, let us know in the comments below!

How to Install and Play Stardew Valley Expanded Mod https://www.touchtapplay.com/how-to-install-and-play-stardew-valley-expanded-mod/ https://www.touchtapplay.com/how-to-install-and-play-stardew-valley-expanded-mod/#respond Thu, 15 Dec 2022 02:39:26 +0000 One of the most popular overhaul mods for Stardew Valley is Stardew Valley Expanded, a mod that, as the name implies, greatly expands on Stardew Valley’s original framework. Stardew Valley Expanded adds a whole slew of new features, including new NPCs, events, areas, items, quests, and more! Today, we’ll show you how to install and play Stardew Valley Expanded mod.

Setting Up and Installing Stardew Valley Expanded Mod

Stardew Valley Expanded needs some prerequisite mods in order to run correctly. There’s quite a few, so here’s a convenient list of everything you need to download:

The first thing you’ll want to do is set up SMAPI. Open the downloaded SMAPI zip with your favorite zip app, like 7zip, and you should see the installer folder inside. Extract the folder to your desktop, then open it up.

You’ll see three installation scripts, one for each major operating system—Windows, macOS, and Linux. Run the script that matches your current operating system, then follow the on-screen prompts to install SMAPI.

With SMAPI installed, there should now be a folder named Mods in your Stardew Valley game folder. Now, you’ll want to put all ten mods inside the Mods folder located in your Stardew Valley game folder. When you’re done, your Mods folder should look like this, not including the optional farm mods.

Related | How to Get Mods for Stardew Valley on Switch – Guide

Grandpa’s Farm and Immersive Farm 2 Remastered change your farm layout, and they’re designed to take advantage of Expanded’s new features. It’s not required for Expanded to run, but it’s highly recommended!

Use Grandpa’s Farm if you’re playing solo, or use Immersive Farm 2 Remastered when playing with friends. Choose one or the other—you cannot have both installed at the same time!

One final thing: It is strongly recommended to start Expanded on a new save file. Attempting to use your old save file from the original Stardew Valley will cause lots of bugs, so don’t do it!

And that’s it—you’re now ready to play Stardew Valley Expanded! Simply run the game as you would normally, and Stardew Valley Expanded should be ready to go.

If you’re playing on Steam, don’t forget to add the launch command given in the SMAPI installer if you still want to earn achievements.

We hope that helped you install and play Stardew Valley Expanded. If you have any other questions about installing Stardew Valley Expanded, let us know in the comments below!
