Release Date Window https://www.touchtapplay.com/when-does-cozy-grove-camp-spirit-come-out-on-netflix-and-mobile-release-date-window/ Thu, 18 Jan 2024 16:10:45 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=907781 Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is growing into one of the most anticipated game titles this year. Why? First, it’s a sequel to the beloved Cozy Grove hit from 2021. Second, it’s supposed to be on Netflix Games, a gaming platform on the widely popular streaming service.

When those two facts from above combine, it’s no wonder we got super hyped for the game. After all, Cozy Grove counts among the best cozy games out there! But when does Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit come out on Netflix (and mobile, for that matter)? Let’s see what we know so far!

When Is Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit Coming Out on Netflix?

Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is bound to come to Netflix Games in 2024

Netflix purchased Spry Fox, the developer of Cozy Grove, back in 2022. Although it took more than a year, in December 2023, we saw an announcement from Netflix saying that Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is definitely coming on the growing game platform. Furthermore, the game is scheduled for 2024.

You’re probably wondering, when in 2024 will Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit launch? Well, that’s the bad news—we don’t know! According to Netflix, there’s no more precise estimate on the launch date than the year. We aren’t even given a season, let alone a month.

Worse yet, Netflix Games is a young platform with under 100 games so far. In other words, we can’t even look at how games came out on Netflix previously and draw a conclusion. All you can do is wait and see what happens. Luckily, we’ll be here to let you know as soon as Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit hits the market!

When Is Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit Launching on Mobile?

If you thought there’s little information on the launch date for Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit on Netflix, the situation with the mobile version is even worse. Currently, there’s no talk whatsoever about Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit for Android or iOS. However, the first game was available for both mobile platforms, so there’s no reason it won’t be the same with the sequel.

It should be noted that Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit is announced first and foremost as a Netflix game. This means the title will be published on that platform before anywhere else. So, if mobile versions of the game are planned, we can expect them to come out only after the title hits Netflix Games.

That’s all we know about Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit and when it comes out on Netflix and mobile. Although the info we have so far isn’t much, you can bet we’ll update the news on this game, so stay tuned. And don’t forget to browse our News section!

Momodora: Moonlit Farewell Switch Release Date https://www.touchtapplay.com/momodora-moonlit-farewell-switch-release-date/ Tue, 16 Jan 2024 07:38:37 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=907157 Momodora: Moonlit Farewell, the latest entry in the long-running Metroidvania indie series, has finally arrived on PC. This series has always released on PC first, and the console ports come later, so let us discuss Momodora: Moonlit Farewell‘s Switch release date.

When is Momodora: Moonlit Farewell Releasing on Switch?

The Momodora games are 2D action platformers that eventually added Metroidvania elements with the later entries, with the first game releasing back in 2010. Moonlit Farewell, the latest game, released on Steam on January 11, 2024.

Each Momodora game puts you in the shoes of a sacred maiden who is on a journey to purify the land. These games are challenging platformers that take lots of cues from retro classics, such as Mega Man, Castlevania, and Metroid.

As of writing, there is currently no release window or date planned for the Switch version of Momodora: Moonlit Farewell. This doesn’t mean the game is never coming, we just don’t know when.

One thing to keep in the mind that the first three Momodora games never left PC, probably because they were developed by a small indie studio. It wasn’t until the fourth game, Reverie Under the Moonlight, where the series went multi-platform, though that in itself took some time.

Reverie Under the Moonlight initially released on Steam back in 2016, and the console ports came later; the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports released in 2017, and the Switch port released much later in 2019.

We’re not entirely sure why the Switch port of Reverie Under the Moonlight took so long, but if we’re to assume that Moonlit Farewell might follow a similar schedule, then strap in Switch players, because it might be a while before the Switch port sees the light of day.

As a side note, if you happen to own a Steam Deck, Moonlit Farewell seems to perform perfectly fine on it. It’s not completely Deck verified yet, but it’s working nonetheless.

Are you familiar with the Momodora series? Are you excited to try out Moonlit Farewell? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

We already covered when the original House Flipper came out for iOS and was announced for Android devices. Now let’s see what’s going on with the sequel.

Is House Flipper 2 available on mobile devices?

House Flipper 2 still isn't available on mobile devices

The main platforms for House Flipper 2 are PC, PS 5, and Xbox series S and X. In other words, the flagship versions of the game have launched on December 14 for those platforms. Sadly, the answer to the burning question is: No, you can’t play House Flipper 2 on mobile. In fact, there are no announcements that this might change at the moment. Want to check the info yourself? Here are all official channels to look through:

Sonic Dream Team Characters – Everything We Know So Far https://www.touchtapplay.com/sonic-dream-team-characters-everything-we-know-so-far/ Fri, 24 Nov 2023 12:15:03 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=902267 Between Sonic’s movie outing (however successful it was) and the recent Sonic Frontiers game, you could say we’re in the middle of a Blue Blur’s renaissance. The upcoming Sonic Dream Team title only confirms that notion. Let’s see what the game will be about and what to expect from it!

What is Sonic Dream Team?

Unlike the previous entry in the franchise, Sonic Dream Team is much more a return to form when it comes to the tradition of Sonic games. While there’ll be new gameplay elements, linearity will be at its core, as the Sega team reportedly wants to cut back on the open-world aspect. After all, not every new game needs to take the Breath of the Wild route, nor should it!

As a side note, Sonic Frontiers had extensive modding capabilities. If you want to learn about them, check out our piece on modding Sonic Frontiers!

Sonic Dream Team will likely feel more like a continuation of the themes from Sonic Adventure 2 or Sonic Unleashed than a sequel to Sonic Frontiers. For me (and probably most Sonic fans), this is good news. Many of us see the joy and charm of Sonic games in linear platforming, and that’s precisely what we’ll get with the new title!

On the other hand, when I say “we’ll get,” it’s worth mentioning that Sonic Dream Team will have a limited release in terms of platform. Sonic Frontiers was available for a plethora of systems, from Nintendo Switch to PS5 and PC; Sonic Dream Team will be an Apple Arcade exclusive. We’ll see how much this gamble will pay off, though—there’s always hope the game could branch out to other platforms at a later point.

But even if that moment comes, it won’t be anytime soon. For now, we can only wait for Sonic Dream Team to launch and see how it fares from there on.

When is Sonic Dream Team Announced for Apple Arcade?

Sonic games never really followed a steady release schedule. Plenty of games were released in November, but many titles dropped during the summer months. Essentially, you could expect a new Sonic title to appear at any time throughout the year. Luckily, we don’t have to guess when Sonic Dream Team will be out—-we have a confirmed release date!

If you visit the App Store page for Sonic Dream Team, the release info is stated right after the game title. Sonic Dream Team is expected to come out on December 5. And that’s the best thing about it: we won’t have to wait long to see how the new game looks and plays!

Is Sonic a Leader or a Playable Character in Sonic Dream Team?

Since the title of the game is Sonic Dream Team, you’d be forgiven for thinking Sonic himself will have a lesser role in this title. After all, there are plenty of Sonic team members that have become fan-favorites over the decades.

Yet, Sonic Dream Team won’t put the titular hedgehog in the role of a passive leader. Instead, Sonic will be your default playable character throughout the game, although you’ll be able to switch to other team members.

What Is the Name of Sonic Team in the Game?

In the spirit of return to form, Sonic Dream Team will feature the most familiar Sonic team, usually aptly named Team Sonic or Team Heroes. We know this to be the case due to the roster of playable characters:

  • Sonic
  • Tails
  • Knuckles
  • Amy Rose
  • Cream

The sixth PC on the list is the outlier: Rouge the Bat joins Team Sonic as a (temporary?) borrow from Team Dark.

Who is the Real Villain in Sonic Dream Team?

In terms of the main villain of Sonic Dream Team, there’s no surprise here! As with the vast majority of Sonic games, your primary rival in this title will be the Eggman himself—Dr. Robotnik. And in Sonic Dream Team, the evil scientist comes back with a new weapon that even Team Sonic will have a hard time overcoming.

This wraps up the crucial info about Sonic Dream Team we have so far. There’s not much time before the title becomes widely available, so we’re looking forward to seeing it in action. Expect deeper dives into this and other upcoming games in our Game Guides section, and make sure to check out our News articles to stay on top of the latest in gaming!

New Cookie Run Kingdom Winter Update Adds 1 New Cookie and Tons of QOL Updates! https://www.touchtapplay.com/new-cookie-run-kingdom-winter-update-adds-1-new-cookie-and-tons-of-qol-updates/ Tue, 21 Nov 2023 02:10:37 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=901605 Cookie Run: Kingdom‘s latest update is dropping on November 22, and it introduces a brand-new Cookie and special story, alongside some welcomed quality-of-life updates. Here’s everything coming in Cookie Run: Kingdom‘s Winter update.

Everything coming in Cookie Run: Kingdom‘s Winter update

New special episode: Icicle Yeti’s Winter Song

Grandma Cotton made presents for all of her friends, and she tasks Snow Sugar Cookie with delivering them around. One of her friends is the mysterious and misunderstood Icicle Yeti Cookie, who lives on top of a snowy mountain, and it’s up to you to help Snow Sugar Cookie make it there!

Screenshot via CookieRun: Kingdom YouTube

Similar to Cookie Run: Kingdom‘s other special episodes, players require a special currency called Frosty Quills in order to advance Icicle Yeti’s Winter Song. Frosty Quills refill over time, and they can be won from event quests as well.

New Cookie: Icicle Yeti Cookie

Icicle Yeti Cookie is a healer-type Cookie, and their active skill is “Let’s Be Friends!”, which buffs and periodically restores the team’s HP. Icicle Yeti Cookie temporarily reverts to their true yeti form, and jumps in front of the group to create a Shield of Ice.

Screenshot via CookieRun: Kingdom YouTube

The Shield of Ice absorbs a percentage of all incoming damage and makes the team resistant to freezing. After Shield of Ice expires, Icicle Yeti Cookie returns to Cookie form and unleashes an attack that is equal to a portion of the damage absorbed by Shield of Ice.

New regular gacha event: Winter Cookie gacha

The aptly named Winter Cookie gacha is a limited-time gacha event where the probabilities are increased for all chilly Cookies out there. You need 300 crystals for one pull, and a epic-rarity Cookie is guaranteed after 100 pulls. This gacha features the following Cookies:

  • Sherbet Cookie
  • Pinecone Cookie
  • Cotton Cookie
  • Cocoa Cookie
  • Snow Sugar Cookie

By the way, did you know that Cookie Run‘s latest spin-off game, Tower of Adventures, is currently having its first global playtest? Check out our guide on how to play the Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures playtest for more details.

New legendary gacha event: Frost Queen Cookie

Frost Queen Cookie’s everlasting blizzard is stronger than ever as she is the focus of this season’s legendary gacha event. For this event, a new currency, Fractal Crystal Droplets, will appear in all main game modes. These droplets can be spent solely on the exclusive Fractal Crystal Droplets Gacha.

The Fractal Crystal Droplets gacha has increased probabilities for both Frost Queen Cookie and her Soulstones. Life Jewels needed for upgrading her Crystal Jam can also drop from this gacha.

Screenshot via CookieRun: Kingdom YouTube

Speaking of which, Frost Queen Cookie’s Crystal Jam finally arrives with this update. Crafting the Crystal Jam unlocks Eternal Frost, which renders her immune to ATK SPD changes. Frost Queen Cookie summons a powerful blizzard, dealing damage and building up frost. The final hit deals massive damage and freezes enemies, and not even freeze-immune enemies are safe!

Frost Queen Cookie’s rally effect is also improved upon activating the Crystal Jam. Her rally effect now increases the freezing chance from all Cookies who attack with ice skills. In order to craft and upgrade her Crystal Jam, you’ll need to fight through a new Trial Ground.

New way to get Cookies: Pavilion of Promise

The Pavilion of Promise is a new way to obtain more Cookies for your team. Built by Maestro Sugar Gnome, the Pavilion of Promise is the place to be to mingle with new Cookies.

Completing certain quests and progressing through game fills the meter with Purity Crystals. Once the meter is full, you can meet a new Cookie! Very rarely, you may even meet a Cookie without filling up the meter all the way. Once you meet a Cookie, the meter resets to zero, and you can start filling it up again.

New Magic Candy for Snow Sugar Cookie

Snow Sugar Cookie’s Magic Candy has arrived, unlocking the skill “Help Me, Snow King!”. Snow Sugar Cookie calls upon the full force of Snow King with this skill.

Screenshot via CookieRun: Kingdom YouTube

Snow King appears as is immune to ATK SPD changes. Snow King charges forward and deals extra damage to frozen enemies. As Snow Sugar Cookie and Snow King attack, they heal each other for a portion of the damage dealt.

Hall of Encounter update: Icicle Yeti’s Winter Song

The Hall of Encounter has been updated to include the following Cookies:

  • Icicle Yeti
  • Snow Sugar Cookie
  • Frost Queen Cookie
  • Cotton Cookie
  • Sherbet Cookie

Additionally, you can now obtain the following rewards from the new Hall of Encounter random reward chests:

  • Monument Fragments
  • Unity Essence
  • Legendary Cookie Soulstone Choice Chest
  • Frosted Crystal Toppings (5 different kinds)
  • Magic and Special Cookie Cutters
  • Radiant Shards
  • Aurora Pillars/Bricks/Compasses
  • Treasure Tickets
  • Topping Pieces
  • EXP Star Jellies level 5 and 6

New toppings: Frosted Crystal Toppings

The Frosted Crystal Toppings are a kind of topping that goes well with Cookies who like the cold. The patch notes don’t reveal what these toppings do yet, so we’ll have to see when the update actually drops.

New Guild Museum wing: Hall of History II

The Hall of History II is now open in the Guild Museum, and it can hold relics from the Dark Cacao Kingdom and Golden Cheese Kingdom. There are a total of six new exhibits, and you can get more relics from the Relic Chests found in the Cookie Alliance campaign.

Screenshot via CookieRun: Kingdom YouTube

Cookie Alliance overhaul and system changes

The Cookie Alliance mode has received an overhaul, changing some of the internal mechanics and systems. To start off, the number of waves have dropped from 60 to 20, and the difficulty levels have been rebalanced as such.

  • Easy: 12 waves
  • Normal: 16 waves
  • Hard, Expert, Master, and Hero: 20 waves

Two new tiers have been added: Elite and Grandmaster, alongside new rewards. You can receive rewards for clearing each difficulty level for the first time.

Screenshot via CookieRun: Kingdom YouTube

New gear items called Artifacts have been added, and they enhance a Cookie’s elemental attacks. As you play through the Cookie Alliance campaign, you can earn Artifact Points to redeem for new Artifacts.

Here are the rest of the new balance changes for the Cookie Alliance campaign:

  • Blast Mode now activates at Cookie level 40 instead of 60, with the following durations:
    • # of Cookies: 3 / 5 / 10 / 15
    • Blast Mode duration in seconds: 3 / 4 / 5 / 6
  • The Beacon of Valor‘s costs have dropped to 200,000 coins for 7 days, and 800,000 coins for 28 days.
  • Guild Museum relics that affect Blast Mode have been slightly nerfed. Effects now last for 14 seconds instead of 22, and the duration increase between levels is less. Additionally, Blast Mode doesn’t activate on Master and Hero difficulties, to create an even playing ground.
  • If you had any Beacon effects active prior to the November 22 update, your remaining effects will be converted into coins.
  • Auto mode is now enabled for Cookie Alliance campaign.

Other quality-of-life additions, balance changes, and bugfixes

  • The Magic Laboratory‘s production screen has been streamlined. You can now search for goods to produce categorized by two lists: Resonant Ingredients and Upgrade Ingredients.
  • Cream Puff Cookie now deals light-type damage.
  • Poison Mushroom Cookie‘s attack duration time now displays correctly.
  • More entry attempts for the Trial Grounds have been added through tickets.

Talk about a big update! Which new features are you the most excited for? Let us know in the comments below, and don’t forget to check out the rest of our Cookie Run: Kingdom guides.

The First Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures Playtest is Now Live, and It Comes with Prizes! https://www.touchtapplay.com/the-first-cookie-run-tower-of-adventures-playtest-is-now-live-and-it-comes-with-prizes/ Sat, 18 Nov 2023 08:11:38 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=901193 If you’re a fan of Cookie Run, you’re probably over the moon about the Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures playtest launch. But what is the new game supposed to be, and how does it tie in with other Cookie Run games? Let’s explore!

What is Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures?

The title Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures gives a massive hint about the upcoming game. It is, of course, a Cookie Run title, so you know to expect plenty of familiar baked treats. Perhaps there’ll even be some freebies to sweeten the deal if the game gets redeemable codes. As for the Tower of Adventures part, you’ll have plenty of adventures battling your way up the Pancake Tower.

The playtest is currently available only on Windows via Google Play Games beta. However, have no doubts—Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures will be a mobile game through and through. After it’s polished, the game should be released sometime in 2024, according to the official Discord channel.

Play the Game for a Chance to Win a $10 Google Play Gift Card!

Another exciting piece of news is that those joining the playtest can receive cool rewards every day. Sharing a gameplay screenshot on the game’s official X, Facebook, or Instagram page makes you eligible for a 10$ reward in the form of a Google Play Gift Card!

While it’s still WIP, Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures has already seen great reaction from fans who’ve been trying it out. We’re looking forward to more developments, which we’ll cover as soon as they drop.

Which Cookie Run game is most like Tower of Adventures?

From what we’ve seen so far, Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures is most like Cookie Run: Kingdom in terms of style and gameplay. Of course, there’s still plenty of progress and potential tweaks, so we won’t know every detail about the game until it comes out. But we’re confident the finalized product won’t veer off from its roots too far!

What is the Cookie Run lore in Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures?

Considering many familiar characters make a comeback in Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures, chances are the new game will continue and expand the lore of the previous titles. GingerBrave is there with friends, so continuity is practically guaranteed. In addition, the Pancake Tower hinted at in the title reportedly hides various secrets and treasures, which means there’ll be plenty of stories to uncover!

This concludes our coverage on the launch of Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures playtest. Stay with our News section to discover more news on this and other mobile games. Also, drop into our Game Guides for useful tips and tricks!

What Dead Trigger 2 Tells Us About Madfinger’s Upcoming PC Title? https://www.touchtapplay.com/what-dead-trigger-2-tells-us-about-madfingers-upcoming-pc-title/ Tue, 14 Nov 2023 13:30:31 +0000 https://www.touchtapplay.com/?p=203657 After several successful mobile gaming titles, Madfinger Games is making a transition towards PC games. With a new title from the developer announced for 2024, let’s see what hints we can get from their greatest hit—Dead Trigger 2.

What is Dead Trigger 2?

Screenshot by DECA Games

Dead Trigger 2 is one of the most famous zombie FPS titles for mobile platforms. A sequel to the original Dead Trigger, the shooter maintains a similar single-player gameplay style. The highly popular title has received plenty of acclaim and is still available both on the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.

Interestingly, there’s also a modded version of Dead Trigger 2 that provides unlimited in-game resources. However, this version isn’t present in the official stores, so you need a guide to get and install it.

Is there a Dead Trigger 3?

Our discussion is centered on Dead Trigger 2 because that game can be considered a jumping-off point for Madfinger’s first PC title. We will explain why in a moment, but first, let’s address one topic: Dead Trigger 2 isn’t the last zombie first-person shooter from the developer’s opus of mobile games.

After acquisition by DECA Games, a game called Unkilled came out. While not officially a continuation of the franchise, this game is a spiritual successor to Dead Trigger, and many fans lovingly dub it Dead Trigger 3.

Can you play Dead Trigger 2 on PC?

Dead Trigger 2 doesn’t have a true PC version. However, you can access the game from your computer using an emulator like Bluestacks. In our experience, most emulators provide smooth gameplay that doesn’t veer too far from the original. Plus, you have the added benefit of playing on a larger screen.

What is Gray Zone Warfare?

Now that we’ve clarified everything about Dead Trigger 2, it’s time to see how Madfinger’s smash hit connects to the upcoming PC game Gray Zone Warfare.

From the first look, it’s clear that several key points are the same between Dead Trigger 2 and Gray Zone Warfare. The PC game is a tactical FPS that can be played solo or within a squad. However, the developer is using the extended capabilities of PC platforms, particularly in terms of graphics and gameplay.

According to Madfinger, Gray Zone Warfare will be more realistic than their previous games. This can be seen in the game’s basic premise: Instead of vanquishing zombies, you play as a member of a private military company and are pitted against regular humans—well, professional military operators, but alive ones, nevertheless!

As you can see, the tactical aspects, as well as FPS mechanics that Madfinger used so well in Dead Trigger 2, are transferred to the PC title. Considering how good those mechanics were in the mobile games, we’re looking forward to seeing what Gray Zone Warfare will look like.

If you’re as eager to see the game when it comes out, you can add it to your Steam wishlist right now. And if you want to learn more about upcoming games and the latest mobile games, check out our News section!
