If you find the concept interesting enough to give it a try, you are going to need credits to make your in-game life a lot easier. If you are already playing Football Seasons, then you know that earning credits is really difficult. But there is one way to do it: earning free credits by sharing your code with others and either bringing in new players or using codes of other players to earn some free credits.

Therefore, I have decided to create this article where we will all share our Football Seasons codes and hopefully get a ton of free credits in the process. I will start with my code for Football Seasons and I really hope you’ll add it – as well as all the other player codes that will be posted here. So here’s my code:

In order to find your code, tap the “Earn” button in the main menu. In order to earn 50 credits from a code, simply insert the code (other than yours) in the same “Earn” section and you’re all set.

We know that it’s difficult to create such a list because of the constant game updates that will make some heroes better, while others will be tuned down. But we need to start somewhere and since there’s no game update incoming (or at least not too soon) we can definitely focus on getting the best characters in the game right now.

We’re going to focus on the ones that are easier to farm since these are the characters you will most likely get, but we’re also going to share some of the better characters that are not easy to farm, but can be unlocked eventually through spending power orbs.

So let’s not waste any time and let’s check out below which are the best characters / heroes in Marvel Strike Force!

Best Characters to Farm

Arena Farming – Quake

She is a great hero to have, dealing massive AOE (area of effect) damage. Also one of the top heroes in the game, so farm her as much as you can because she’s worth it!

Arena Farming – Daredevil

Most people recommend Drax as the second hero to farm in the Arena (if you have shards left after spending them on getting Quake), but I don’t like him as much as a tank and I feel that Daredevil is a better option for the short term and early on.

Daredevil is a hero that most people already have unlocked, which means that you need to farm even more shards to star him up, which isn’t as easy. If you already have him and you’re not entirely satisfied with him, you can go for Drax instead, but there are better Tank options in MSF. But if you don’t have Daredevil yet and you have arena shards left, definitely go for him!

Blitz Farming – Gamora

An extremely good hero, but requires 100 Shards to be unlocked, so you’ll spend a while farming for her. But it’s really worth it as she’s a great damage dealer, gaining extra moves when she finishes off an enemy and dealing tons of damage.

Blitz Farming – Luke Cage

Only if you have shards left and you can afford buying Gamora AND him daily. He is a solid Tank in my opinion with good buffs for the team. I personally prefer him over Drax simply because you start with him and it’s easier to star him up and get him in shape, but he’s not the best tank in the game at the moment.

Raid – None

I don’t really like the options available in the Raid store at the moment, so either save up on some credits to spend when there’s a refresh or get the Orbs instead. You might end up with better shards than what’s offered in the store.

Campaign – Yondu

He was heavily nerfed recently, so he’s not as good as he used to be, but he’s still one great Hero to own in the game thanks to his summoning and AoE abilities. Easy to get as well, since he’s in the first chapter of the Heroes mission. Complete those every day and get him ASAP.

Best Tanks in Marvel Strike Force

Captain America

Captain America has a great kit, which is both offensive and defensive. He can also taunt enemies, which is an ability that’ll come in handy quite a bit, especially if you have a squishy team.

Kingpin

Kingpin is exactly that – a kingpin. He can summon bodyguards that’ll help protect him and the team, and he can also buff his allies’ DEF (and later on their ATK).

Honorable mention: Hulk

There’s not a lot of love for Hulk because he’s slow and annoying, but he’s a real damage dealing Tank that is great to have in the team. It’s also easy to unlock by completing the achievements, so I’d definitely go for him.

#2: Luke Cage

I prefer him over Drax because he’s faster, he usually survives long enough to be extremely worthy for a spot in the team and, even though he doesn’t cause a ton of damage, he’s extremely useful thanks to its defense up skill.

Best Supports in Marvel Strike Force

Night Nurse

The only real healer in the game, she is absolutely amazing when it comes to keeping your characters alive. Her passive healing also helps in the long run. Depending on your play style and type of battle (arena, Blitz, Raid etc), she might be a better choice than Black Widow, who’s usually best for PvP.

Hand Sorceress

With a massive AoE heal, Hand Sorceress makes for an amazing support. She also has quite decent damage, and the heal will later turn into DEF buff for all the allies (plus the mandatory heal).

Honorable Mention: Black Widow

If there were her speed up alone and she would be a great support unit, but she also has stun which is extremely useful in battle. She can be a great unit, until you get something better – or even after, if you pair her up with a couple decent teammates.

Best Attacker in Marvel Strike Force

Gamora

It’s really difficult to choose a winner here as there are more who work really well, but Gamora is easy to farm and great to have in the team. Her extra attack on a kill make her extremely useful, while her overall stats and power get better and better as you upgrade her. One of my favorite in the game.

Marvel Strike Force best units

Spider-Man (Symbiote)

This is one of the best units overall – Spider-Man (Symbiote) is a great unit for the Symbiote team, which means that he’s a unit that you shouldn’t overlook.

Emma Frost

She has a lot of utility and plenty of flexibility for pretty much any content.

Daredevil

Pure damage dealer with a great passive buff. Many ignore him, but I personally believe that he’s tough as nails. Plus, he’s usually in the squad of most people playing the game, so that’s an extra bonus!

Phoenix

In Dark Dimension 3 she is a true monster. Her kit is perfectly made for that, and if you team her up with Silver Surfer, you’ve got yourself a winner.

Hela

If you are a fan of negative effects, she’s the hero you should use – every – single – time! Her Undead Asgardian is also a really powerful unit.

Quake

We have already talked about her, one of the best units in terms of crowd control and AoE damage.

Yondu

Another character we’ve talked about and a great one to have in your team. Mixing AoE damage with extra units, he can prove extremely helpful in the right type of battle.

Iron Man

A great hero to have in the team and close match with the second placed. I personally choose him because of his insane second ability that usually sees you take out an opponent with one shot, but he’s also great overall.

Thor

Another great one to have as a fifth man, this guy can turn into a killing machine thanks to his skills. Chains are not always guaranteed, but Thor remains one awesome hero to bring in!

These would be our recommended characters right now. They all pack a great punch and are, for sure, top characters to take into the Arena, the Alliance Raids and in the Campaign missions.

Although extremely repetitive, this game is also rewarding. And the best part is that you can mostly let it run on your device while it rests on your desk and only interact with it every now and then for the most part.

Always start from the beginning
Unless you really want to pass a specific stage and you know you can do it with the double damage offered by the ad option, then you should always restart the game from level 1.

This gives you the chance to collect a lot of gold coins along the way and, even though it can be a bit boring to go through all the stages again, it’s extremely useful. The coins are valuable and you will need buckets of them in order to level up all your monsters to their full potential.

Take advantage of the ads
Ads are usually annoying in games, but in Summoner’s Greed, they’re not that bad. You get the option to watch a video ad every now and then and you should definitely take it, especially when doing so allows you to receive free Gems or increase the coins dropped by monsters.

If you’re at a high level already, the offer that doubles your damage is extremely useful too, but otherwise… not so much. Just make sure that you take advantage of these offers to progress faster.

Monster Upgrades & level ups
One very important upgrade that you can buy from the bottom left menu is one that we saw only after reaching wave 30, and it would’ve been a lot easier with it! It’s the Monster attack boost which can be purchased twice: once with regular coins and once with Gems.

The coins option gives you 10% attack boost (permanent) and increases by 1% with each new purchase, while the Gems option gives you 10% attack boost—also permanent—and increases by 5% with each new purchase.

Make sure that you buy at least the first levels of each in order to get a massive overall boost early on in the game.

Afterwards, you should focus on leveling up your monsters and spells, while unlocking new ones as often as possible.

When you get the option to use 30 orbs for rare and above monsters, only go for that from that moment on because the common monsters aren’t good. Also, go for the Gem unlocks whenever you have the chance—you really need top Heroes in order to get as far as possible!

Best team set-up
Once you pass wave 30, things start to get more complicated. You’ll have to rethink your strategy and really pay attention to the monsters that you place on the limited spots, along with the ones you send into battle.

There are multiple approaches that work, but here is the line-up that we are using with a lot of success so far:

Front row, speedy in the middle. Second row, mighty in the middle. Place decent damage dealers to their sides: your best heroes in the top row, and second best ones in the middle row. This will ensure that you progress as far as possible.

The rarer heroes are the best choices—just bring the best that you have into battle, place them to the sides of the boosters, and you’re set for a very long run in the game.

We consider heroes like Ash, Frostbite, and Teddy to be particularly good. Make sure that you place Teddy to a side, for example, to get the most effect for his skill.

Do the same with every hero you place on the board: make sure that they’re in a place where their skill can best be utilized.

Use your spells for maximum advantage
The Freeze spell is not useful for a long time, so focus your upgrades on the Fireball since a lot of damage is what’s extremely useful early on.

You should also make sure that you use the spells at the optimum time to get the most out of them. Usually, it’s best to use the spells in combination: freeze a group of enemies first, then fireball them while your other heroes are dealing massive damage as well.

Pay attention to each spell’s cooling time and try to save the spells for two important stages: the boss fights, and the ones where the massive warriors that target the rocks appear.

Now, thanks to Delta who left a comment below, here are some more tips to help you out:

• When starting the game, just farm, don’t bother with x2 damage ads for now and just reset and start over from lvl 1 whenever you lose.
• Make sure you buy the first upgrade for Monster attack boost and Super monster attack boost, gets you a quick 20% attack boost for the rest of the game.
• Keep rolling the 10 orb commons rolls, way better than rare rolls imo (also statistically better for getting epics and legends).
• Do NOT roll for epics using gems, I repeat do NOT waste your gems on those. It’s not worth it.
• Once you get one good epic or legendary that has a skill that can deal AoE damage, focus on that. DON’T waste any gold upgrading anything else at that point, unless you get a better monster, preferably a legend.
• Save up your gems for double monster attack first, 500 may seem to be quite a bit but you can get it in less than a day of playing the game, given that you watch the gem ads
• You don’t want to be buying anything the sellers selling so far since you want to focus on saving your gold for upgrading your main monster right now, so no to orbs, gems, or summoning stones. After getting double monster attack, save up for double gold since it’s cheaper than double gems and helps you get gold faster and progress faster.
• When you can, farm Joint Revenge. This map is SO AMAZING when you first unlock it.
• When you beat Join Revenge on normal, start upgrading your slime king, Doesn’t matter if you have another legendary, just upgrade Slime King.
• Bonus: Did you know that hard versions of the maps don’t give extra gold or orbs, and if they do, it’s not really that much more (if any)?

Join an active alliance

This is, in my opinion, the most important thing in the game. If you are part of an active, high quality alliance, then everything in the game will be a lot better for you. From progressing faster to getting help with your buildings and everything else – it will all just be there.

So don’t hesitate to invest some time into finding that perfect alliance with active members that are close together on the map. This is, as I already said, the most important part of the game which can really make a difference.

Focus on completing the missions

There are a ton of missions that you will be tasked to complete – from the regular campaign missions to the daily missions and special objectives.

My recommendation is to focus on completing the daily missions each day in order to unlock the chests with great rewards associated to them. Going through the regular campaign missions also ensures that you progress through the game at the recommended pace, but don’t bother with them too much. You will automatically complete them as you play the game – so just enjoy the rewards!

Level up all buildings before the HQ upgrade

My recommendations is to level up all the buildings in your empire to the maximum level before getting a new Headquarters upgrade, which allows you to build more buildings and level up the existing ones even further.

This is, in my opinion, the best approach as it keeps everything balanced and upgrade times in the same range.

Constantly train troops

The more troops you have trained, the better. So make sure that you are constantly doing this. Log in often to collect your trained troops and start a new batch, even if you don’t have time to do anything else.

But the golden rule of thumb is this: always work on increasing your troop numbers in order to get to the point where you’ll be able to safely send more than one general do some heavy battles for you.

And, of course, the more troops you have, the easier it is for you to defend against incoming attacks.

PvE is your best friend, especially early on

Barbarians, for instance, are a great and easy way to farm boosts and other goodies and they usually spawn right next to your location and do so constantly. Make sure to return the favor and constantly attack them – the highest level you can afford attacking without recording any substantial losses.

After dealing with the barbarians, you can safely send your armies to gather resources. This is where you can divide your army in two or more smaller armies in order to get a varied return of crops. But remember that these armies are exposed to potential enemy attacks – so only do this if you really need the resources.

But overall, attacking the environment items like the barbarians and farms is the best way to get resources without risking to upset anyone. Eventually, you will have to find nearby empires to farm and these will become more profitable in the long run – but until you get there, take advantage of the easy loot laying around.

Keep an eye on your items

As you play the game, you automatically collect tons of items – especially very early in the game. Make sure to constantly check them out as they will be useful eventually.

Don’t rush to use them, either: in most cases, all items that don’t turn into other items are better kept for using later on in the game: resource boosts, extra resources and even activating new units or XP for your generals… these will all become useful when you will actually lack the said resources or when you find that awesome general that you want to level up fast.

Get more than one amazing commander

Although you start with one general based on the nation you have chosen to be your starting one, very soon you will have a lot on your hands and it’s a good idea to work on leveling up more than just one since eventually you will need them.

Some commanders are better than others in different areas – while some focus more on attack, others are better used when defending your empire or when gathering resources. This is exactly the reason why you should try to level up more and have at least one for each occasion.

Don’t start doing this too early, though: you should still focus on getting your top general to the highest possible level, and only afterwards start sending others into battle or level them up using XP boosts from your inventory.

Skill up your commanders based on their powers

As I was saying above, the generals have different specializations (although they’re not highlighted in the game). Some give you boosts to gathering resources, other to defense and others are more suitable to attack.

Therefore, it’s important to assign skill points based on their existing powers, in order to make them experts in their field.

For example, when it comes to more offensive generals, you should invest in skills that further boost the attack of your units. Gatherers are better at receiving Action Points cost reduction (since they won’t really need other boosts), while the generals that you plan to use for defending your empire could obviously focus on defensive skills.

However, I believe that a good offense is better than a good defense – so I usually invest in attack boosts for both offensive and defensive generals and it doesn’t seem to be a big problem so far.

Research constantly

Another thing that you should constantly do is invest in research. This is, in my opinion, a bit more difficult to max out early on, so focus on the army upgrades because you need those early boosts, even though they seem small.

On the other hand, if you are active with your scouts, you will receive a lot of technology boosts from nearby villages that you find and I never received a boost in army-related researches. Another reason to focus on those yourself and get some extra boosts to your empire tech later or from villages.

Teleport within your alliance territory

Being part of an active, super-duper alliance means nothing if you’re not close to your colleagues in order to plan out attacks, receive troops and get a sense of security.

So after you’re sure that you have found the best alliance you can be a part of, teleport in the area and enjoy the added benefits!

Constantly explore with scouts

It’s a bit annoying and easy to forget about them, but scouts play an important role in the game, especially extremely early on when they will not only reveal the entire map around you, with all the goodies it hides, but also give you villages that are willing to help with technology, resources or troops.

Therefore, it’s extremely important to scout as much as possible in order to max out the rewards. Plus, there are some missions and events that focus on this and increase the rewards output even further!

Important: The Summoners are your main heroes that lead the characters into the battle. In today’s article, we’re talking about them and not the ton of characters that you will use to create your team.

In order to unlock all 5 summoners in Summoners Era, you must actively play the regular campaign mode. Once you beat the final stage of the 4th chapter, you will automatically unlock the remaining four summoners in the game – it’s that simple!

Things are relatively easy and straightforward, and just another reason for you to really focus on completing the main Campaign, as recommended in our tips and tricks already.

This will not only give you a chance to earn better items, money and XP potions, but as you can see, it will also allow you to unlock all the five Summoners in the game, so that you can select an appropriate one to lead your troops.

So once you complete the 4th chapter of the game, you will automatically be taken to the Summoners area and star up Bellator, which was the Summoner you were using until now, but also get access to the others.

At the same time, you will unlock all the remaining Summoners, all of them being 4-star characters which can be upgraded if you have enough resources:

• Malefica (attacks all enemies, boosts attack and offers various boosts)
• Bellator (the main one who deals damage to random enemies and is more defense-oriented)
• Vesta (deals damage and heals, boosting HP and resistance)
• Faber (massive damage dealer, but just to 2 enemies, also boost speed and efficiency of your heroes)
• Sagittarius (deals damage and reduces armor, boosting offensive capabilities of the characters)

Your main goal now will be to choose your favorite – make sure to check our recommendations – and focus on improving that Summoner only. Doing so is really difficult and takes a lot of time, so make sure that you choose a good one and focus on him or her: you won’t have enough resources to max them all out!

If you are having trouble finishing the final level of the 4th chapter in the main campaign in order to unlock them all, you should work on your starting team and main heroes.

Strengthen them as much as possible by leveling them up and evolving them, but also by crafting and equipping better items and making sure that you’re always using the best heroes in your team.

You won’t be able to unlock all the Summoners extremely fast, so be ready for the waiting game!

Summoners Era is a great idle game for mobile, one that gives you a real challenge early on and never hits the brakes afterwards. Lots of heroes to unlock, lots of areas to play in… a perfect game for fans of the genre and one we loved playing since its launch.

Save Diamonds for 10 Premium Summons

Premium Summons are the best in the game because they give you the best chance of getting a 5-star character (with a “whooping” 3.99% chance to get one). Still better than the 0,04% chance to get one from Basic Summons…

The problem with Premium Summons is that they are expensive, but if you are patient a bit, you can get them at a discount: if you spend Gems to summon 10 at once, you save 200 Gems. Not a ton, but definitely useful – so make sure to only spend gems to summon 10 at a time and not fewer!

Tip for even better deals for Premium summons

But there is a nifty trick that you can use to get Premium Summons for as low as 125 diamonds a piece! You can get those from the black market – yes, there is a limit of one per day, but it’s the cheapest option available and you should take advantage of it daily!

You won’t receive a ton of top tier heroes this way, but it is better than nothing and you get that 125 diamond summon basically for free. So take advantage of this and build up your squad.

Friendship Summons are better than you think!

Strange or not, the Friendship Summons that you can activate using hearts that you receive from your in-game friends are actually more useful than the basic summons!

While nowhere near as good as the Premium ones, you are 20 times more likely to get a 5-star hero from a Friendship Summon than from a Basic one (0.8 vs 0.04). Minimal chances, for sure, but still worth going for!

How to build the best team in the game

The first and most important thing to look at when creating your team of heroes in Summoners Era is their rarity. The more stars a hero has, the better it will be: both in terms of stats (like health and attack), but also skills.

5-star heroes will have 3 skills unlocked, 4-star ones will have two, while three star heroes and below will have just one. Also, some heroes have 4 potential skills to unlock, while others will only have 3 or fewer.

Obviously, you will want to have a team of 5-star heroes and above, but getting there will take a while. But even early on, a mixture of your best 4-star heroes and any 5-star ones you have is what you should aim for.

Have in mind that while you can star up all the way to five stars any hero in the game, they will still be weaker in the end than native 5-star ones. In other words, it’s not really worth it, unless you need to star up heroes for upgrades or, at most, for creating a team based on a single element

When building your team in the game, take into consideration the fact that their position matters: frontline heroes should be the ones with most health (as they are attacked first, but also receive a 30% health boost), while the backline heroes should be your top damage dealers – they receive a 25% attack boost.

Know what each of your top heroes do and decide if they should be brought in. Most of the heroes in this game are pure garbage and completely useless (remember that there’s 132 of them and you can only use 5 in battles!) Don’t even waste time with anything under 4 stars!

But do look at their roles and skills – ideally, you will have one massive tank up front in the first position, to soak up the damage, followed by a support unit with buffs for your team.

Having a healer is also useful, although during some of my tests I ended up realizing that it’s best to have, instead of a healer, a more offensive-minded hero. This is because an offensive skill (that is good) will almost always deal more damage than a healer can heal.

What formation is the best?

There are four types of formations you can select in Summoners Era, each with its own Pros and Cons: you start with the 3-2 formation (three heroes at the back and two up front), but you can unlock 2-3, 4-1 and 1-4 formations.

I personally believe that the 3-2 formation, the one that you start with, is the best choice because focusing too much on a single area (like using a 4-1 formation to get the attack boost) could be risky if you’re facing a team of heroes focused on dealing damage to the entire backline.

So if you have your team divided almost equally, you reduce the potential negative effects of a fully specialized team. But it’s still early in our game and more testing needs to be done – until then, it’s worth saying that we had most success with 3-2 teams, while 4-1 seems very promising in specific situations.

Go for companion buffs

There are six different factions in the game, each with 22 heroes that you can collect. Focusing on creating a team from as few factions as possible can give you some nice boosts to help you a lot in battle.

For example, if all your heroes are from the same faction, they get a massive 25% attack boost, as well as 25% extra HP and armor. Having 4 heroes from the same faction reduces the bonus to 20%, while have 3 heroes from a faction and 2 from another gives you a 15% boost.

Make sure to check the faction boosts that you can get by tapping the button in the bottom left corner of the screen during a fight.

This is something that you will only be able to really care for later on in the game when you have a nice set of 4 and 5 star heroes to choose from… but do have this in mind and take advantage of it as soon as you have the chance.

Even easier is getting some companion buffs by having companion heroes in the squad. These only require matching a couple of heroes which are generally easy to get. These boosts add up and make your team much stronger, so don’t ignore them!

Only upgrade your top heroes

You can star up all heroes in the game if you want to, but honestly there is no point in doing that. Even most 4-star heroes will become useless in the later stages of the game, so your focus should be mainly on your top heroes.

Don’t invest too much in leveling up your 3 star heroes and below early on, because in 1-2 days after you start playing, you will no longer use those anymore.

I also suggest waiting 3 days before actually deciding what your top heroes are and focusing on leveling them up for early game domination. During the first 2-3 days, you will earn a lot of goodies and free hero summons and such so the rankings will change constantly.

But after the initial flurry, things will slow down a little bit and you won’t get new heroes that often. So take your best over level 20 and keep improving them, always starting with your absolute best hero – if something better pops up along the way, simply replace your weakest link.

How to get 5 star heroes in Summoners Era?

Getting the native 5-star heroes in the game is definitely a challenge and you’ll have to spend some time (or money, or both) to have a varied amount to choose from.

But to answer the question, you will have all sorts of ways to get rare heroes, the easiest being through summons using Premium Scrolls.

You will also get the chance to get more by simply completing the story (the main campaign), from various in-game events and instances, as well as from the various Stores.

Also, you can upgrade heroes to 6 stars. In order to do so, you will need a 5-star hero at maximum level (80 at the moment) and enough material heroes to do so. Getting heroes to 6 stars unlocks a new skill, in most cases at least, and allows you level the hero up even more.

Remember what I said earlier: you can star up all heroes in the game and have a 2-star hero reach 5 stars. But comparing their stats and skills with those of a native 5 star hero will show you that it’s not worth it. So only upgrade them as cannon fodder, for maxing out your existing heroes.

Complete all daily quests

This is a game where you’ll have to do a lot of grinding, which includes completing most of your daily quests each day. If you do so, you can earn 100 free Gems and a bunch of other cool rewards. So make it a havit to complete all these quests ASAP!

Apart from these, you also have the Quest Tree which are basically story-related quests that you can complete just once.

Make sure to check out the Quest Tree as well (tap the icon near the Daily Quests to see them) as they offer amazing rewards most of the time.

The Dragon Tower is Essential for your Success

As you level up more and more, you will unlock various new areas of the game, like the Dragon Tower, the Dungeon, Tavern and so on. All are extremely important, but the Dragon Tower is probably the most useful, especially early on.

So make sure to play it as soon as you unlock it and go as far as possible since you will earn the Ancient Potions from various levels there, which are must have items to level up your heroes (and there aren’t many ways of getting them fast).

Join and active Guild & add friends

Being social and sociable is extremely useful in Summoners Era and it can take you very, very far. So make sure to join a strong guild as soon as you have the chance to do so – you need a strong guild with active players in order to reap on the benefits.

Don’t hesitate to leave and search for a new one in case you’re not satisfied with your first pick or if if members of your current guild become inactive.

Adding as many friends as possible is also very important, as you will receive from them hearts which can be used to open chests – but also help them defeat bosses (or have them help you) in order to get even more hearts.

The game will automatically recommend some players to be added as friends – but in my case it only recommended inactive ones, so the best way to get some active players as friends is to simply post a message in the chat window asking to be added by others.

The Arena is flawed at the moment

I am very disappointed with the arena at the moment, as the matchmaking system there seems to be based on the number of points you have and not the power of your team.

In other words, since starting to play the game up to a few days (or more, depending how active you are), don’t expect to have many chances to win anything in the arena.

You will be matched with players that are twice as strong as you are and it won’t be possible to beat them.

But even so, it’s still worth fighting more and more: not only that eventually you will reach a point where you will be matched with players of a similar value, but no matter if you win or lose, you will still receive the same amount of rewards after each arena battle.

Update: This seems to have been fixed mostly. Early on when a new season begins, you will still be paired against very strong opponents, but things should even up eventually. Just keep fighting – the rewards from doing so are worth it.

What heroes should you sacrifice?

The game tells us not to sacrifice heroes mindlessly because even 1-star heroes can be used to star up your top heroes. This means that in theory, you can use those to star up a 5-star hero. But that takes a lot of time and even more resources.

But since you can hoard up to 1,000 heroes, I would say that it is best to stay away from sacrificing them for a while and wait to see what heroes you need for upgrading your top ones: they start disappearing quickly when you start starring them up!

Based on my experience, 1 and 2 star heroes are useless though and you will most likely never need them for upgrade purposes. They don’t give you a lot of resources when you sacrifice them either, but it’s better than nothing.

A trick I use is that I send the low star heroes to train for free: this way, when I sacrifice them, I get more resources and therefore a bigger advantage in the game. I recommend this as a solid strategy to follow.

How to get Ancient Potions in Summoners Era?

The Ancient Potions seem difficult to get early on and even though they are indeed not the easiest items that you can acquire in the game, you will find them for sale in the Black Market – available at low costs.

You can also get those as rewards from completing various floors in the Dragon Tower, but it’s a lot easier to stock up from the Black Market (and potentially other markets that might feature them every now and then)

Keep an eye on all markets

Speaking of markets… make it a habit to check them constantly – at least once per day. Various are available and they offer all sorts of goodies for different prices, including 5-star hero shards and other really useful items for your game.

Things are pretty much straightforward in Basketball Showdown: Royale. You compete against 49 other players (most of them real people) and try to score as many baskets as possible. You have various boosts and power-ups available to improve your chances of winning, but it’s mostly a skill based game.

We’re still going to provide as much help as possible and you’ll see that, after following our Basketball Showdown: Royale tips and tricks below, you will start doing a lot better in the game!

Take your time to play Seasons

In the game’s Season mode, you will play against a single AI-controlled opponent in a championship-type of game. These usually take a long time to complete and the rewards for winning a season are not that impressive, but the game mode itself is really useful early on.

If you just started to play or if you don’t really manage to get good results in the Battle Royale mode, playing Season matches is the way to go. The pace and pressure are lower here, giving you a chance to experiment and improve your shooting, which in turn will help you in the versus modes.

Plus, the fact that these matches are so easy to win will give you a massive confidence boost and increase the overall enjoyment of the game.

Lock in your shooting position in the Battle Royale mode

When playing the game against other players, each made shot will result in your shooting position changing on the field. This makes it a bit confusing and a bit more difficult to ain and score – at least in my opinion.

I also have the feeling that you lose a bit more time if you let the game switch positions, which is never a good thing.

Fortunately, Basketball Showdown Royale allows you to simply lock in your position. This helps not only because you will not have to shoot from random places after scoring, but also because you can lock in a position you’re most comfortable shooting from and therefore scoring more.

In order to lock your position, simply tap the button in the lower left corner, showing you a basketball court with a lock icon over it. If you no longer want that, simply tap the button again. It’s that simple!

Place your device on a desk for improved aiming

If you shoot any other way than straight, you will miss the basket. And on the smallish screen of an iPhone (even on an iPad), it’s very easy for your finger to move slightly to the sides when swiping up.

I found it to be a lot easier – and shots much faster – if I just place the device on a flat surface (like desk or table) and take the shots with the index finger instead of the thumb. This gives you bettr accuracy, even though it looks a bit strange.

Use a better basketball

You can and should upgrade your basketball in order to increase its accuracy and/or heat. Usually, you will have basketballs that offer more of one than the other. And the game has a very strange way of showing you these two stats, but you will get used to it.

You have to look at the colored stars in order to see how many each category has, even though in one case, the stars get colored from right to left and in the other, from left to right.

Now, which ball should you choose? One with better accuracy but lower heat or one with higher heat and lower accuracy?

If you have a really steady hand, choosing the latter (faster heat) is the best option. In my case, I found out that I do better with a 4 star accuracy ball with 2 stars in heat. Sure, it takes a bit to get that heat meter activated, but you’re also scoring constantly, which keeps the heat going after enabling it.

With high heat balls, even though I activate the heat meter faster, I also miss more often, generally ranking lower.

Remember, when your ball is on fire, you receive two points for each basket scored (instead of one). But if you miss, the heat meter resets and you will have to score a number of baskets before you get your ball on fire again.

Invest your money in facility upgrades

Apart from getting new balls, buying upgrades to the facility is the place to invest your hard earned cash in. And you have 4 areas available, with a fifth unlocked once you max out the previous 4.

All of these upgrades are obviously useful, but I consider the Coaching and Trainers ones the best to invest in first, since they give you a chance to keep your Heat after missing a shot, and increase the amount of looting time respectively.

Score the loot baskets!

When in a game, every now and then, the loot basket will be activated. Scoring that shot is extremely important, as it will grant you a random – but important – bonus, ranging from some extra money to a sure-hit shot, extra points and more.

Keep an eye on the loot shot indicator on the right and make sure you score that basket as soon as it activates. You won’t have a lot of time, so timing your shots to do it is something you must consider.

Play without sound

This might sound like a strange recommendation, but I actually found it to work well in my case. Playing without sound lets you focus on scoring baskets and won’t put extra pressure on you when time is about to run out. Just give it a try and you will surely see an improvement in your play style and number of baskets scored!

Join an active club

Being part of an active club means that you will collect all the Club Mission rewards regularly, which will give you enough money to invest in upgrades and new balls.

So spend some time searching for that active club and if you end up in one where players are not as active as you’d like them to be, don’t be afraid to leave and search for a better one. It will help tremendously, especially early on in the game.

Practice makes perfect

Despite all the things that I have mentioned above, Basketball Showdown Royale is a game where your own skill is what matters the most.

And you can’t get better unless you practice a lot. Try to take your time early on and see how to launch the ball in order to shoot and score, and perfect that movement. You won’t be a pro instantly, but if you don’t try and practice a lot, you won’t get better either.

It’s all about the movement of your finger, really: try to keep it as smooth, steady and straight as possible and you will become a scoring machine!

It’s all about packing

The most important part of your business is the Packing department. It doesn’t really matter if you bring in a ton of materials and you upgrade everything else to the max… it’s the Packing areas that make money for you.

So make sure that you focus on upgrading those: keep an eye on the number of products piling up in the queue. You want those to be as low as possible. If things are piling up, there is no need to invest in anything else than upgrades for your packing areas.

This is the only way to make sure that your income increases. Otherwise, you will just get more items piling up and not making you money.

Of course, if you still have other new packing machines to buy, it would be a good idea to invest in those also and then level them up. But have in mind a very important thing about these (covered below).

The sorter and Packing Machines go hand in hand

If you buy a packing machine and you don’t have the money to level up the Sorting Area, you will see no improvement. You actually have to buy the Modify Sorter upgrade in order to add a new sorting line to your machine.

These two go hand in hand and there is no need to invest in one before you can afford the other. The good thing is that the Modify Sorter upgrade only has to be purchased once: afterwards, you can focus on the Packing Machines!

But have in mind that in order to buy the Modify Sorter upgrade that gives you access to the new Packing Machine, you need to meet the level requirements of sorter itself. Everything goes well hand in hand, but once you are there in the game, you will see that it’s not very complicated.

The correct order to buy upgrades

So, to sum things up, I would recommend you to buy upgrades in the following order:

1. Packing Machine upgrades (as much as possible)
2. Unloading dock (to have more vehicles unloading – but not more docks than vehicles!)
3. Sorting Machine Upgrades (with the goal of getting more Packing Machines ASAP)
4. Everything else that deals with capacity and faster product transport

Check the stats for a better understanding of the game

A very handy in-game feature is the stats screen that you can access by tapping the corresponding icon in the upper right corner (next to the missions board).

Once there, you will see how everything is going in your Courier business. Most likely, you will always have an excess of products in the line, showing you that you have to keep investing in the Packing Machines.

But should the numbers be different, it’s easy to fix them: see the area that you are on the red with and simply invest in a few upgrades there!

Should you train employees?

When it comes to the Packing Machines, you have two upgrade options: leveling up the Machine itself or Training the employees. In my opinion, you should never do the latter until later in the game.

Training employees is very expensive compared to upgrading the machine and the increase in profits is minimal. So simply wait until leveling up your Machine becomes as expensive or more expensive than training Employees… and buy upgrades then. Until that moment though, it doesn’t make sense to focus on this.

Upgrade the machine styles for increased income

The crates that you can get in the game will offer you various cards for the Packing Machines. These can be used to upgrade the said machines, which will offer them a permanent income boost in all future factories.

Therefore, it’s essential to take advantage of all offers you have and grab new cards for upgrading the machines. Spend your Premium Diamonds on those crates or find the time to watch an Ad for a crate every now and then.

Watch ads to increase income

Like in all idle games, you have the option to watch ads in order to improve your in-game earnings. You have a few options, out of which one is really recommended for a massive boost.

I think you should always watch an ad to double your offline income, especially if you spent at least a couple of hours away from the game. The income boost is significant this way.

You can also double the amount of earnings that your courier station is making by watching ads. You can stack these up for a maximum time of 6 hours, but the good thing is that after watching a specific number of ads, you are rewarded with a loot box as well.

Follow the quest line

One of the easiest ways for you to gain some premium currency for buying new crates and also making sure that you’re progressing in Idle Courier Tycoon as expected is to follow the quest line.

Don’t try to complete all the quests before moving to a new factory as they will continue to be active: you have no time limit and can complete them at your own pace. But having them done sooner rather than later is a huge bonus especially early on.

Expand your courier business!

Moving to a new factory is how this games handles the so called “prestiging” in other idle games. This means that you basically start from scratch, but with more options on hand and better income per minute.

In this game’s case, when you collect enough money, you can buy a new factory. You start over, but you get a boost to your income (5x more in the case of the second factory) as well as room for more Packing Machines, which give you the chance to earn more money.

You do keep your Style upgrades too, which is really important as it makes progress a lot faster and the game itself a lot more fun.

Let them fight for that first storage room!

That first storage box is really important in the game because it could literally take out a player out of the bidding war. So do your best to make that happen.

For some reason, bidding is intense on that first storage – and goes down in popularity afterwards. But if you can make one player overpay, you have better chances at scoring a good deal next. The ones who overpay are those who drive prices up anyway, so you need them out of the game ASAP.

Of course, this isn’t easy to do and you might end up getting burned yourself if you try to push it too far. Try to bid 2-3 times only, and never above the amount that you think the storage box might make you.

If people are not very active and very patient instead, you could actually end up snatching the first storage for a low price: this is a strategy that also works with overly cautios players.

Just be ready to adapt and be active with the bidding. If things get to insane and intense, step away and let them waste their money, but if they’re too quiet, definitely take it.

Don’t wait too long before placing your bid

I know that it increases the suspense and makes everything better to come with a last second bid… but at the same time, I’ve seen this backfire more often than not.

The thing is that you’re not the only one who enjoys pulling this trick: other players do as well. And if you are unlucky enough to press the Bid button after another player has done so (or there’s a bit of lag), you might end up bidding more than you actually wanted.

So do play it safe, set an amount you won’t go over and stick to it. No last minute calls, as those could cost you a lot!

Always know how much money you have on hand

This is extremely useful for planning buys after you have already bought a storage box and you no longer have the maximum amount of money. This makes it a bit more difficult to beat other players who have more money, but not impossible as long as you know how the bidding system works.

Realistically, you can’t expect to get more than 2 storage rooms in a game. It’s just very unlikely you’ll have the money for that! But two can be easily bought without you even wasting all your money. It all depends on the circumstances, but you should always be ready!

Try to never bid more than 50% of your funds on a storage box, unless it meets two requirements: first and most important, you are 100% sure that the box is going to make you a profit; and second, it’s the final box.

If you manage to get one for maximum 50% of your money, chances are you are in the race for winning that second storage room too. Just plan your bidding ahead and be strategic about them.

Players might go to a maximum of 1050 dollars for a room, for example. In that case, plan the bids ahead so that you are the one making the 1050 bid. If that’s happening in New York, for example, anything above that amount is a big risk and you might lose money if you bid more. So if you force another player to bid over – it’s their loss not yours. If not, you get the storage room. So either way, you win.

So know how the bidding increases – don’t bid at 900, if you only have 1050 to bid. If somebody bids above you, you won’t be able to bid again. So know the money you have on hand and be smart about bidding, always doing it at the right time.

Try to learn the value of the products

There are a lot of products in Bid Wars Stars and even more of them will be hidden from view, but for the ones you can see, it’s very important to know their value in order to properly estimate the overall value of the room.

Unlike in real life where seeing a lot of cheap stuff usually means that we’re dealing with a room filled with junk, here everything is random. So one of the boxes could always hide something valuable… but it’s still best to estimate and bid based on that.

While you will obviously not be able to remember all the prices for all the junk items, try to remember them for those rare and epic ones that you found. I sometimes won rooms with lots of rare items at great prices simply because the other players had no idea how much they were worth.

You can do the same or at least know the prices and have an estimate for each room you’re going to bid for in over to leverage potential losses.

Choose the right character for the job

There are various characters that you can play as in the game, each with a different speciality. For example, Karen is a Hobby Specialist that has a chance of highlighting for you Hobby items up to Rare rarity). JC does the same with Toys, May with art objects and so on.

While you can level them up – and you will level up your characters eventually – and it makes sense to bring into the “battle” the highest level one, in some occasions it wouldn’t make sense to bring specific characters.

For example, John is a tech specialist and can highlight tech items. However, most of the tech items will only start popping up in the game once you reach Chicago. This means that playing with John until that point is basically a waste of skills because there will simply be no (or very few) tech items to recommend.

Hobby items are aplenty, though and available in the early stages in greater numbers, so it would make sense for you to be a Karen. Either way, always make sure that you are playing a character that gives you the biggest possible advantage.

Constantly sell at the pawn shop

The more you play, the more items you will end up having. The only way to get rid of them right now is by selling them in the pawn shop. You should do this regularly in order to make some money, unlock boxes and keep your inventory as clutter-free as possible.

Planning a bit ahead when selling can save you a lot of time. For example, as soon as you log into the game, you can start selling those 10-15 minute items, depending on how much time you plan to spend in-game. It will usually take 2-3 bidding wars for you to sell those.

If you have a lot of lower value items, sell those first. 1 minute passes really fast and these are the first you should get rid of. Keep your phone turned on and in the game and constantly sell items of lower value – there’s really no other way around it.

For the rare and epics that take up to an hour to sell, the best choice is to wait until you have six of those, put them all on sale and then watch an ad for instantly selling those. If not, start working on those when you log out and are away from the game for longer.

It’s important to keep coming back to the game regularly and collect the money from the items you have sold, then put new ones on sale. The more you do, the more boxes you open and the better you will do in the game.

What to do if you run out of money?

In the very unlikely situation that you no longer have money left, you can always go to the store and watch a video ad for 800 free dollars. Or just start selling some more expensive items in the Pawn Shop – if you have 6 of those and you decide to watch an ad to rush them, chances are you’ll get more than 800 dollars from them.

How to handle upgrades on each court

Each venue has three different upgrades that you can purchase: the stadium (which increases the coins generated per minute), queue upgrades so more people can wait in line and the seating capacity.

The last two are more expensive a bit more difficult to purchase, while the first one should be your main focus.

You still have to find a balance when upgrading these: you can’t just focus on improving the stadium only and have very little seats and a short queue. I would say that as soon as you see that people start leaving because they have no place in the queue, upgrade it, then upgrade seating as soon as you afford it.

It’s not easy to see how these two upgrades (queue and seats) affect your income, but they do increase it no matter what. Just that you won’t know by how much before doing it and unfortunately the game won’t show you the exact effects in the venue’s screen, where the Earnings are shown.

But if you look at the income per minute in the top left corner of the screen, you will see that the number will go up when you purchase one of these upgrades.

Focus on reaching milestones

Each venue that you have unlocked in Idle Sports City Tycoon can be upgraded indefinitely. And even though it doesn’t make sense to keep upgrading the ones bringing little profits, you should in order to reach the level milestones

When you do so and upgrade a stadium to level 25, 100, 200 and so on, you will greatly increase the profits generated, but also earn some premium currency and most likely complete an achievement for even more rewards.

So always upgrade having the next milestone in mind: you know that once you reach it, you will get a nice boost to your income, making everything easier in the game.

Always upgrade the biggest money maker first

The last stadium that you have purchased will be your biggest money maker, no matter what. Therefore, always start by upgrading it first. This way, you will make sure that you always get the biggest boosts to income.

From there, move backwards with the upgrades. It rarely makes any sense – at least from a financial point of view – to upgrade the first stadium when you have the fourth or fifth unlocked.

Don’t forget about the Entrance Gate!

With so many things happening away from it, it’s really easy to forget about it. But it is equally important to the well being of your sports complex even though it doesn’t directly affect the income (at least not by much).

Make sure that you open new gates, especially when the queues start to get longer and longer and people are not able to get into your complex. New gates are the most important and I always say that it’s better to have more than less – so keep that in mind!

Also, invest in reducing the waiting times when people are in line. These upgrades are very expensive, but they indirectly help your profits grow by simply allowing more people to get in and spend their money for you.

Keep achievements in mind when upgrading

As I said earlier, it makes little sense, after a point, to invest money in upgrading the lower tier buildings that you have. However, you should still do it for completing achievements.

Even for the lowest tier building, you will still have achievements rewarding you with premium currency when reaching a milestone. So make it a habit to keep an eye on these requirements: once you manage to upgrade a bit and keep things rolling nicely, you will have a really easy job to reach the next milestone for grabbing the rewards.

Tip: Simply tap and hold the level up button in order to quickly buy new levels. Saves you a lot of clicking!

Save up and invest in Epic Upgrades

Epic upgrades are purchased with Premium Currency, so they are extremely valuable. They are also very expensive, so you shouldn’t spend those coins on anything else (especially not on those “deals” that give you money for premium currency!).

Due to the price constraints, you won’t have a lot of freedom to invest in those Epic Upgrades. Most likely, you will just buy whatever you afford – but do focus on those upgrades that directly affect revenue first, and others later.

Collect from all the nearby kiosks

Scattered around each city, you will have varous kiosks that will generate some money for you every now and then. Tap those as soon as you see the dollar bill icon above them: they won’t give you much, but every little bit helps in this game!

Grab some money from the VIP rewards

Watching ads to progress faster in Idle Sports City Tycoon is the way to go! Every now and then, you will see an yacht coming into the port and a VIP golden button appearing to the right side of the screen.

Tapping it will allow you to get some free money, as long as you are ready to watch an ad. But there’s a trick to make this value increase – and it also involves watching ads.

Tapping the loudspeaker icon in the bar at the bottom allows you to watch an ad to double your income for an hour (up to six hours at a time). Make sure to do this. VIP rewards are based on your current profits – so the more money you’re making, the more the VIP ad reward will give you. Easy money!

Always double your offline money!

Even easier money comes if you watch an ad after being away from the game for a while. You can earn up to 2 hours of offline income – a bit more if you invest in the Epic Upgrades.

Either way, you will still have a really large chunk of money after being away, usually more than any VIP ship will offer you. Therefore, make sure to always double that income: it’s the best ad deal that the game has to offer.

How to unlock new areas in the game

Unlocking new areas in the game is similar to the prestige options that most idle games offer. You basically start over in a new city, with new stadiums to upgrade and even more money to be made.

In order to go to a new area, all you have to do is buy all the venues in the area you’re in and collect enough money to afford purchasing the new one. Fortunately, you will only need regular coins for it, so you’ll get there sooner or later.

Once you have the resources available, simply tap the map icon in the bottom center of the screen and select the next stadium. At the moment of writing, there are two more areas to unlock: Summerville and Snowland, but more will be released in future updates.
