Our aim is to create the safest place for our children to thrive. This is why we hire a security officer to patrol our premises and why we require background checks for all our paid workers and volunteers. We also want to make it simple for parents to check-in their children, identify volunteers, and communicate needs.
Grace, not guilt
Belief, not behaviorism
We want to give our children Christ. We are raising the next generation of Christians and we want them to know and love Jesus. That’s why we make Jesus the hero of every Bible story. We don’t want to motivate them by guilt, but teach them to respond to the gracious love of Christ. We want them to trust Jesus, not just to behave well. We want them to feel valued simply because they are created in the image of God
Discipleship, not just discipline
Maturity, not just memorization
We want our children to be kind, gentle, self-controlled, loving, considerate, honest, and patient, just like we want ourselves to be. So we hope to shape their character to exhibit the fruits of the Spirit even at a young age. We are shepherding their development as young Christians, not simply punishing bad behavior or teaching them to memorize the right answers.
Overall, we want our children to have fun. We want them to be kids because we believe that God loves children and he loves childhood. We hope our children will find community as they grow up with other kids in their class. We want them to be excited about coming to church because they know they will have fun and see their friends.
We want our children to love God, love his Word, love each other, and love the Church.
